The 15th Transat Jacques Vabre get ready to set sail - for the Gitana Team it is the last day on land. This final day very often feels like the longest of all for both the sailors and the shore crews, who are keen for the competition to get up and running. Crew on the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild during the Jules Verne Trophy attempts, David Boileau is also the boat captain, which essentially means that he’s the skippers’ right-hand man on a technical front. He watches over the carbon giant and her preparation all the way through to the very last moments.
