The J Class is regarded as the most iconic racing yacht in the world with historic pedigree competing for the America’s Cup. The first ‘J’ was commissioned in 1929 by Sir Thomas Lipton to challenge for the AC and in 1930 the rule was introduced with a waterline length of between 75 to 87 feet for the class.
