Luna Rossa is running two programmes in parallel. While a significant part of the team remains in Cagliari to oversee the development of the AC75 that will compete in the 38th America’s Cup, a smaller group relocates to Naples to familiarize itself with the city and with the racecourse that will host the Preliminary Regatta in September and the 2027 America’s Cup. In Naples, a temporary base is set up at the Palumbo shipyard. The Youth and Women’s teams begin sailing and are joined by the senior team for two two-boat sailing sessions in the Gulf of Naples. Alongside institutional engagements with the city’s mayor, Gaetano Manfredi, and the president of the Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia, Roberto Mottola di Amato, as well as meetings with sporting icons such as Fabio Cannavaro, the team continues an intensive training programme focused on strengthening crew cohesion, and reinforcing the Youth team with the addition of two new talents (CC Available)
