The island of Terceira, Portugal was the setting for the inaugural Youth and Master Wingfoil World Championships and it didn't disappoint. Rising stars shone in the Youth categories with Yana Li (China) securing the Youth Women's title after a disastrous second day climbing her way back to the top. The Youth Men's division was claimed by the Italian Ernesto de Amicis with back to back victories in the final. Finally the Masters were dominated by the 'young' 36 year old Chris Rashley with a masterful performance.
