The Final day of the Zhik Cadet National Championship began with a surprise visit from Nick Dempsey and Hannah Mills, giving both sailors and parents a chance to bombard the GBR Olympic medalists with questions. Shortly after, when the sea breeze filled in, the sailors hit the water to sail the final three races of the championship. VR Race Team members Megan Ferguson and Yasmin Sfaxi had a big lead in the first race to win, with Belgium duo Thibaud Dirix & Ziva Perko, following in second, which BEL 9575 went onto winning the second race. The third race was won by Ellie Wootton and Amelia Mayhew allowing them to pip Megan & Yasmin by one point in the final standings to take second place overall. Congratulations to Jamie Harris and Antonia Wilkinson who are now the 2016 Cadet National Champions.
