2016 saw the British home of yachting, the River Hamble, get it's own specialised classic regatta hosted by the Royal Southern Yacht Club. The concept was developed by Jonty Sherwill and features yachts as old as 130+ years. One star of the fleet was Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and his boat Suhaili. With over 60 entrants, the inaugural Hamble Classics Regatta was a huge success and bodes well for the years to come.
