The 8th Normandy Channel Race is on - the leading pack of fifteen boats pushing past the Solent and onto Lands End. The top three Class 40's battling for supremacy are Serenis Consulting, Imerys and V and B.
Imerys leading the fleet and Phil Sharp (GBR) and Pablo Santurde (ESP) have just rounded Fastnet with a healthy lead from the chasing pack of Serenis Consulting and V and B. The sun has come out for their dash back downwind to Guernsey and the finish off Hermanville.
Phil Sharp (GBR) and Pablo Santurde (ESP) took line honours onboard Imerys after a gruelling 4 days and 11 hours smashing the previous record. With the remaining fleet of 18 Class 40 boats completing the course over the next two days.
