The fleet started on Sunday with the usual fanfare and huge local support - twenty five skippers reached the start line but one turned back. Louis Burton set the pace and the foilers went hunting the 30knt boat speed but it's all to play for over the next 48 hours jockeying for position to catch the big breeze coming in from North America.
